We attempted to get a spot at one of the two campgrounds inside the park, but we were unsuccessful.

We decided to boondock just outside the park. In the video, we reveal the GPS coordinates of our phenomenal boondocking spot!

We also show you some of the best trails to do with your kids, even if you only have a day to visit Valley of Fire.

Some of our favorite trails were the Prospect Trail, the Seven Wonders Loop With Fire Wave Trail, the Rainbow Vista Trail, and Mouse’s Tank (a.k.a. Petroglyph Canyon), and even a few more!
Boondocking Near Valley Of Fire
There are two boondocking options near Valley of Fire.
In our video, we share with you both locations.
The one we chose was quite mellow, not crowded, but more remote. The other had a few more people, but was a bit closer to a town.
So, you’ll be able to make your own boondocking adventure here! If you’re up for it, you can even try both and then let us know what you think!
