A Hong Kong Waterside Walk
UPDATE: This is where the new Belcher’s Bay Promenade is located, and it’s right near the Central and Western District Promenade (detailed below).
Have a look at it!
The Central and Western District Promenade, located right next to Instagram Pier, runs right along the water front of the Western District Wholesale Food Market, and it’s NOW OPEN!!!! It’s already one of Hong Kong’s most spectacular waterside promenades, so you should certainly take a stroll down it to see for yourself!
If you’re driving here, the closest car park is the Wilson Parking Garage, located at 367 Des Voeux Rd W, Sai Wan. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the promenade.
With plenty of play equipment, benches, bathrooms and a snack shack too, you could easily enjoy a few hours here!
These 3-D site drawings give a good overview of the site.

Other Things to do Near The Central and Western District Promenade
The promenade is ~600 meters long, and while this HK$90 million project is undeniably gorgeous, after an hour or so of taking in the views, you’ll likely be ready to move on to something else. But don’t worry! There is plenty to do around the promenade such as take a few photos over on Instagram Pier, take a stunning hike up Mt. High West, grab a bite to eat at one of Kennedy Town’s delicious (and affordable) eateries or enjoy some dim sum at one of Hong Kong’s most authentic places, Lin Heung!
