Family Travel Tips For Outdoor Adventures

We normally feel well prepared for outdoor family adventures.

However…

There are times when we haven’t thoroughly done our “homework,” and thus we find ourselves caught a bit off guard.

Or to put it more simply:

Sometimes, we’re unprepared for our outdoor family adventures.

Unprepared For Red Rock Canyon In Nevada

One of the particular times when we were caught off guard was when we explored Red Rock Canyon in Nevada.

Even though Red Rock Cayon is a mere 30-minute drive west of Las Vegas, it’s pretty wild.

And…

We discovered it’s full of terrain that is quite difficult for toddlers (Peri and Kai) to toddle around on.

Family Travel Tip Teaser

The first tip we have to offer is to pack the night before. While something as straightforward as this may seem obvious, it’s a game-changer.

Waking up in the morning and getting out the door, with Peri and Kai (3 years and 18-months old, respectively, at the time of writing) is a challenge in and of itself.

Having to pack a diaper bag too often just slows things massively down. So again, packing the night before is our first family travel tip.
